I didn't make it to 50 books in 2009, but I'm quite happy with how I did. Maybe I'll do better this year! :)

And if I counted all the graphic novels and fanfiction I read in 2009, I'd be well over the 50! *g*

*resolves to read more in 2010*

I finished reading Her Fearful Symmetry by Audrey Niffenegger last night.

I loved The Time Traveler's Wife, and was hoping to feel the same way about this one. However, the only word that comes to mind after reading it is 'disturbing'.

Has anyone else on my flist read it? Any thoughts? Love it? Hate it? Did you find it as disturbing as I did?

I'd actually go as far as to say that I really wish I hadn't read it. :(

I don't know quite what happened (maybe it was RL taking over?), but I actually only read two books in June and July...and one of those was a re-read. *is embarrassed*

*drumroll*

So here they are:

1. Drums of Autumn by Diana Gabaldon - 4th book in the Outlander series, and every bit as good as the other three.
2. Club Dead by Charlaine Harris - 3rd book in the Sookie Stackhouse series. Re-read to prepare me for the next book in the series. I read the first three books a while ago, but never got around to reading the rest - even though I enjoyed the first three and own them all. Hmm...I can't think why I'm so keen to read them now. *g*

And that's it.

I did read a lot of classic Spike/Buffy fanfiction, though. I went through a lot of my old links and saved as many of my favourite stories as I could find. So many of the old archives are disappearing and I'd hate to lose any of the amazing fic I've read over the years. We're lucky to have had so many wonderful storytellers in our fandom!

Long time no see. *waves*

I haven't had a great deal of time for reading lately, but here is a (short) list of the books I've read over the last couple of months:

1. Cross Stitch by Diana Gabaldon (aka Outlander) - second half (first half read in March). I am seriously in love with these books!
2. Turn Coat (The Dresden Files) by Jim Butcher
3. Dragonfly in Amber (Outlander series) by Diana Gabaldon
4. Voyager (Outlander series) by Diana Gabaldon - Have I mentioned how much I love these books yet? *g* They're looong (this one is over a thousand pages), but oh so fabulous. I can't get enough of them!

And that's it. :)

I finally have my laptop back (yay!), so hopefully I'll be able to start posting more soon. I hope you're all well. *hugs*

I haven't read anywhere near as many books as I wanted to this month. RL sucks sometimes. :(

Books read in March:

1. On The Prowl - Stories written by Patricia Briggs, Eileen Wilks, Karen Chance and Sunny.
Only the first two stories are worth reading imo. 'Alph and Omega' is great.
2. Cry Wolf - Patricia Briggs
Sequel to 'Alpha and Omega'
3. Cross Stitch (Outlander in the US) by Diana Gabaldon
Only read first half so far, but enjoying it immensely. Not great literature by any means, but wonderful escapism.

And that's all folks. :)

2. When Will There Be Good News - Kate Atkinson
3. Backup - Jim Butcher
4. The 19th Wife - David Ebershoff
5. Iron Kissed - Patricia Briggs

Hope you're all well! :)
