Sorry I haven't been around much lately. RL has been keeping me very busy! I still owe comments on my last post, which I'll get to as soon as I can. :)

Books read in February:

1. The Gargoyle - Andrew Davidson
2. When Will There Be Good News - Kate Atkinson
3. Backup - Jim Butcher
4. The 19th Wife - David Ebershoff
5. Iron Kissed - Patricia Briggs
6. Bone Crossed - Patricia Briggs

Hope you're all well! :)

I forgot all about Backup, even though I had it on reminder. Is it worth forking out the enormous amount they want for it?

Short answer no (story's OK but not worth that amount of money really) - I'll lend you my copy.

I agree with Carolyn. I enjoyed the story, but it's very short and probably not worth the price they're asking for it. :)

I'm limited to what I can buy at the car boot or charity shops as books are such a price these days. Got a fabulous pile to get through though. :D

I always have a big pile of books to get through. I have to admit I haven't been buying quite as many as I normally would, though. And I'm always on the look out for a bargain! :D

*waves* Hello Cal.

I haven't looked at my Amazon list of what's to be published - hadn't realised Bone Crossed was out. Must look and see what else I'm waiting for, I haven't ordered any books for ages and have a gift certificate to use. :)

*waves back* Hi Carolyn!

Bone Crossed was great! I think you'll definitely enjoy it. I've just started the Alpha and Omega short story, which I'm enjoying so far, and have Cry Wolf on my list to read next. :)

Hi. I have to confess that I'm not sure how I came to wander in here but when I saw your book list I thought, 'Ooooh!' I never can resist stopping to see what folk are reading. :-) Coincidently I've just finished the first Mercy Thompson book myself and absolutely adored it. Definitely smitten with Adam. :-) The next two books are already here. I also bought The Gargoyle recently in Waterstones... did you like it?

Hi,
Just finshed The Mercy book, "Bone Crossed". Saw it in the library and borrowed it. Thanks for the rec.

Then, I ordered others of this series.
