Well, I've finally come to the end of this meme. At least it won't be clogging up your friends pages any more! ;)

Day 29 - Current TV show obsession

I don't think anyone will be surprised to hear that the two shows I'm currently obsessed with are True Blood and The Vampire Diaries. I don't think I'll ever love them quite as much as I love the Buffyverse, but it's good to have something new to obsess over!

Day 30 - Saddest character death

There are two that come to mind straight away: Dr Mark Greene on ER and Charlie Pace on Lost.

Day 27 - Best pilot episode

This is an easy one: Lost had an amazing pilot episode that caught my imagination from the opening scene. I don't think I've ever seen another series that had such a strong beginning. Most tend to take a while before they really start to show their true potential, but with Lost it was instantaneous.

Day 22 - Favorite series finale

I loved the series finale of BtVS, but there is no way I could pick Chosen as my favourite as watching Spike turn into dust isn't something I could rewatch time and time again. So it definitely isn't that.

So which series finale did I choose?

Well, considering how much I said I loved it, I don't think it will come as any surprise that my favourite series finale to date has got to be the final episode of Lost. I know there are people who hated it, but I adored it - and have actually watched it three times already (something I've never done with any other TV show finale). I see something new every time I watch it, and it will definitely stay with me for a long time to come.

Lost is closely followed by the Ashes to Ashes finale, which also aired last weekend. I love the fact that they were both such thought-provoking finales that will be talked about for a long time to come. And really, when it comes down to it (especially when so many shows are cut down in their prime) I don't think I could ask for any more than that.

Day 21 - Favorite ship

Another one that won't come as a surprise to anyone who knows me.

My favourite ship of all time is Spike/Buffy. I'm not going to go into the reasons why I love them as much as I do, as there isn't anything I could say here that I haven't already said before. All I will say is that I doubt I'll ever fall for another TV pairing in quite the same way as I did with Spike/Buffy.

My second favourite ship is Desmond/Penny on Lost, although I've never felt any need to read fanfic about them the way I have with Spike/Buffy. Their story is perfect just the way it is.

Day 12 - An episode you've watched more than 5 times

There are a few episodes I've watched more than five times (Once More, With Feeling and Fool For Love from BtVS come to mind), but the episode I'm going to choose is without a doubt my favourite episode from any TV show ever:

The Constant from the fourth season of Lost.

In the episode, Desmond Hume (played by Henry Ian Cusick) and Sayid Jarrah (Naveen Andrews) are on their way to the freighter in the helicopter when they hit turbulence, which causes Desmond's 1996 consciousness to take over his 2004 body and switch uncontrollably between 1996 and 2004. In 2004, the helicopter reaches the freighter and Sayid and Desmond are introduced to communications officer George Minkowski (Fisher Stevens), who is "unstuck in time" like Desmond.

I can't even begin to describe how much I adore this episode. Desmond is my favourite character on Lost, and his storyline is the one I'm most invested in. The Constant is pure perfection from start to finish, and the final scene between Desmond and Penny moves me to tears every single time I see it.

I haven't seen the latest episode of Lost yet (it doesn't air over here until tomorrow), but from the reactions I'm seeing on LJ something very major happens in it.

I haven't been spoiled by any posts on my flist yet, but I'd appreciate it if any discussions/reactions about the episode could be kept under a cut. I was accidentally spoiled for the finale of Dexter earlier in the year, and would hate for that to happen again with Lost.

Thanks! :)
