Well, I've finally come to the end of this meme. At least it won't be clogging up your friends pages any more! ;)

Day 29 - Current TV show obsession

I don't think anyone will be surprised to hear that the two shows I'm currently obsessed with are True Blood and The Vampire Diaries. I don't think I'll ever love them quite as much as I love the Buffyverse, but it's good to have something new to obsess over!

Day 30 - Saddest character death

There are two that come to mind straight away: Dr Mark Greene on ER and Charlie Pace on Lost.

Dr Mark Greene was one of my favourite characters on ER, and I was devastated when he eventually died in S8. His exit from the show was incredibly moving and well-written, proving once again just how good this show used to be.

As for Charlie, his death at the end of S3 came as a complete surprise to me, and I still can't watch that episode without crying like a baby. Beautifully written, well acted, and proof that the show wasn't afraid to kill off any of its main characters. Yet another reason why I consider Lost to have been one of the most compelling shows of the last decade.

Saddest character death the poor monster on this weeks episode of Dr Who...wah! I was biting my lip and didn't want to make an ass of myself in front of family ::sobs::

Oh and Kylie in another Dr Who episode...I've got to stop watching that show! ;)

I cried a lot when Mark died indeed, but it's the news of his death in ep 20 (when Carter read the letter Mark had sent and the note Corday added) more than the death scene (ep 21)that got me. :-(

Mark's and Lucy's death were heartbreaking.

Mark Greene you could see coming, so it didn't get to me so much.

Charlie on Lost, though, was completely unexpected and made me so angry I pretty much gave up on the show. I mean, they killed my hobbit!

Saddest and most shocking character deaths for me would be Joyce Summers, Tara and Anya, all from Buffy. I still can't watch "The Body" without crying. I even knew Joyce was going to die; the actress was on the morning news the day that episode aired, reassuring everybody that she was okay, it was just her character that was going, but Buffy coming home and finding her mom dead was still a shocker. The other two I was completely unspoiled for, and they both hurt.

For me, the saddest character death was Wesley Wyndam-Pryce.

I thought his character arc was one of the most, if not THE most, fascinating in all of the Jossverse.

To see him finally get together with the woman of his dreams after loving her for so long from afar, then his utter devastation at her death only a short time later (how very Jossian), excruciatingly exacerbated by his having to deal with another being in her body, was some of the most painful television I've ever watched.

And when Illyria asks him, "Would you like me to lie to you now?" and he replies, "Yes...please..." It just kills me every time I watch it.

I stopped by to say how much I love your Godric Icon - Of my current TV Shows LOVES, Godric's death was a big surprise - I had expected him to stay with the series longer - Of all the characters in True Blood which I love, he has been the most interesting to me. I wish that his history and his current life had been explored in the series.

The last Doctor's death, David Tennant was such a great Doctor, and his time passing was an outstanding dramatic performance - I so wanted him not to have to meet his passing.

Lanto is another character that I loved, actually all the deaths of the prime characters in Torchwood were extremely sad and heart breaking.

And of course when Buffy and Dawn lose their mother Joyce Summers - that was not only sad, but how her death was presented, the finding of her dead mother made it all even more horrible.
