I'm still having computer problems, so posting and commenting will probably be a bit eratic for a while. I've managed to get my old laptop up and running, but it's very temperamental and only works when it wants to.

I can post to LJ via my Touch, so will try to keep in touch that way when all else fails.

Only one week to go until the Jamesing begins. Yay! :D

And isn't it the Elf fair this weekend? I can't wait to read all about that one! *g*

First of all, Happy Mothers Day to all of the UK Mum's out there! I hope you've all had a wonderful and relaxing day... :)

which I most certainly haven't! Turned my laptop on this morning to find that it had somehow malfunctioned and completely wiped my hard drive clean. I did everything I could to try and retrieve it, but to no avail. So I've ended up having to use my recovery disc, which has restored all of my software...but of course I've lost everything else. All of my stored music and video files, graphics, photo's and fanfic. Luckily, I'd backed up most of it, due to losing everything once before, but I've still lost some things...and some of them are irreplaceable.

Does anyone know if it's possible to retrieve your iTunes library? I can't believe I never backed it up, and I'm going to be gutted if I lose everything. I had quite a few purchased songs (and videos) in there that I hadn't gotten around to backing up. I still have everything on my iPod, but I'm scared everything will be wiped off it as soon as I plug it into my computer. Does anyone have any ideas? Help!

I also had a copy of The Butterfly Effect by cousinjean on my HD, which I'm almost certain isn't available online anymore. If anyone has a copy they could send me, I'd be eternally grateful! :)

I think I should be able to find most of the other things I lost by searching the internet, but it's going to be so time consuming! I lost all of my internet favourites and am going to have to start from scratch.

I'm so fed up right now. :(
