1971: 'Fiddler on the Roof'
1972: 'The Getaway'
1973: 'Jesus Christ Supestar' (Runner-up: 'That'll Be the Day')
1974: 'Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too' (Runner-up: 'All Creatures Great and Small')
1975: 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'
1976: 'A Star is Born'
1977: 'The Goodbye Girl'
1978: A tie: 'Heaven Can Wait' and 'Grease'
1979: 'Time After Time'
1980: Another tie - and for purely sentimental reasons: 'Somewhere in Time' and 'Flash Gordon'
1981: 'An American Werewolf in London'
1982: 'An Officer and a Gentleman'
1983: 'Terms of Endearment'
1984: This is getting more and more difficult! A triple tie: 'The Terminator', 'Romancing the Stone' and 'Footloose'. It was impossible to choose between them. Sorry! :)

1986: 'Pretty in Pink' and 'Peggy Sue Got Married'
1987: And yet another tie: 'Dirty Dancing' (RIP Patrick) and 'Some Kind of Wonderful' (with a very young Eric Stoltz!) (Runner-up: 'Overboard')
1988: I almost went with 'Rain Man' (which I do love), but in the end decided to go for: 'Big' :P
1989: 'My Left Foot' and 'Field of Dreams' (Runner(s)-up: 'Back to the Future II' and 'Sea of Love')
1990: Yes, you guessed it - another tie: 'Ghost', 'Pretty Woman' and 'Dances With Wolves'

I'm sorry to hear that. But I understand what you mean, though I react that way to music more than movies. There's songs that bring me happy memories. Then there's certain songs that ruin my day every time I happen to hear them. It's fascinating how people associate things with something they hear or see. And then if they see or hear that specific something again, it triggers same memories and feelings every time, no matter how long time has passed.
