I had dinner with James Marsters!
May. 5th, 2007 03:25 pmGot back from London in the early hours of this morning. Had a fantastic time at all the Spring Fever events, and a wonderful time at the dinner with James. I'm still processing everything that happened, and am still stunned and a little overwhelmed by the fact that my ticket was drawn for the dinner...and that K was able to come with me. I still can't quite believe that I was there! I met some wonderful people, including the brilliant
sueworld2003, who I'm sure can remember more of what James had to say than I can. :D
The Union Chapel gig last night was fantastic. James was on fine form and the atmosphere was electric. K and I were at the back of the room, seated next to the sound man. People who could transfer from their wheelchairs or had walking difficulties were allowed to sit in the front couple of rows, but those (like K) who are unable to transfer had to sit at the back. I have to say, though, that the view from there was wonderful. I don't think there was a bad view to be had in the room. And James looked and sounded great! :D I met quite a few people from LJ last night, but I think I was still a bithung over dazed by it all, so I don't know how much sense they got out of me. LOL!
I'm sure I'll have more to say when I've had a chance to process it all, but one thing I can say right now is that Spring Fever was definitely an event to remember. And who would have thought that instead of running away from James, I'd actually end up having dinner with him? *is stunned*
I still haven't quite come back down to earth yet. :D
