Finally got around to uploading the pics from my holiday in the Cotswolds last week. I hope you enjoy! :D
The Palace:

The grounds and gardens:

Vanbrugh's Grand Bridge

The Cascades

The Rose Garden (not in flower when we were there, unfortunately)

More of the grounds

The second largest maze in the UK...

Which we promptly got lost in. *g*
Now on to Broughton Castle (which is in Banbury, Oxfordshire):

The Great Hall

The view from the roof of the castle

Just a portion of the beautiful garden. This pic doesn't really do it justice!

I loved this view of the outside of the castle. So pretty!
That's it for now! :)

Date: 2006-06-18 09:01 am (UTC)I also remember feeling really ill at Blenheim because it was a really hot day that day, and I felt really faint half way round the tour. They were really nice and let us rejoin it after a 'breather' outside.
Glad you had a chance to look around and enjoy it on your own.
