James is putting on his tux for a once in a lifetime event aboard the beautiful and
historic Queen Mary cruise ship.

This will be James' only convention appearance of 2006. James Marsters And Friends promises to be a weekend to remember on one of the most romantic cruise ships in the world.

Actors, writers and other production staff from a range of James' previous television and film outings will be offering a weekend of non-stop Q&A fun, screenings, photograph opportunities, autograph sessions, special prizes and lots of surprises. James will also be performing live in concert including new songs.

TICKETS

There are two types of tickets for James Marsters and Friends - Premium and Gold. Premium tickets are limited to 100 only and will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

No, it's not at sea. You *can* pay to stay on the Queen Mary if you want to (it's 139 dollars for the weekend), but it's optional.

No--the Queen Mary is perma-docked at Long Beach and has been converted to a hotel. So it's on the water, but not really at sea.

I'd give my right arm to go to this. ;) If it wasn't in the US, I'd be there in a heartbeat. I've been trying to talk my hubby into booking a romantic weekend on the Queen Mary, but he's not biting. I wonder why? *g*

I'm not going--I would *love* to, but that's Gabe's last weekend before he moves. He's actually sitting here and has been saying, "It's OK, you can go," all morning, and I would if he was just going on a trip or something, but he's moving for the next five years, and I just don't want to lose that last weekend, you know? So basically I've been a ridiculously teary mess all morning. /whiny

But yeah, the friends are going to have fun, and we'll all get together and eat and talk about it after the fact, so that'll be great. :)

I am so excited I am dancing about the living room -- much to the dismay of lab who now fears I have gone quite insane and will forget to feed her!

I know! I was so tempted to buy a ticket...but then common sense prevailed. I could (just about) afford the ticket, but then there's all the other expenses, plus having to find someone to take care of K while I was gone. It's just impossible! :(

I was hoping to win the lottery tonight, but alas... ;)

I know he's not doing another con this year, but I still keep hoping that he'll at least do some gigs here. *fingers crossed*

Oh for a lottery win. One of my non-lj friends has a ticket and so I'll be bugging her for all the details. Those Premium tickets sold out so quickly - wonder how many Gold tickets there are in total?
