Sad news

I'm sure many of you will have heard the sad news by now, but nandibble passed away yesterday. Nan was a well-loved member of Buffy fandom, and one of the best writers I've ever known. She will be sorely missed.

I'm stunned and speechless. I honestly don't have the words right now. The words I've written above don't even begin to do Nan justice. She was an amazing woman and someone who I was proud to call a friend.

Rest in peace, Nan.

That's horrible. It's hard when you're involved with fandom and the internet to remember that reality doesn't just affect you on the outside. I'm sorry to say I never talked with her, but I'm sure she'll be missed.

I know you were very close with her, Cal, and I'm so very sorry for your loss. Please know that you and her other friends are in my thoughts. Although I didn't know Nan very well, I became acquainted with her enough to see that she was a truly lovely person, and a bright star in this fandom.

I can't claim to have been as close to Nan as some were, but I had many online conversations with her (both personal and fandom related). I hope she knew how much she meant to me. She was always good to me, and the respect and admiration I have for her is immeasurable. I'm going to miss her so much. *hugs*

I only knew Nan through her writing - her Blood series will forever be at the top of my list of favourite fic - and I am so saddened by this news. For those of you who were friends, and her family, this news will be even more upsetting. My love and condolences to you all.
