Christmas Wish List

I can't believe it's almost that time of year again! I wasn't sure whether to do this again this year, but then I thought...why not? :)
Step One
Make a post (public, friends locked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
1. I'd love some new Spuffy fic to read.
2. A pretty James or Spike lj banner just for me.
3. James Marsters in my Christmas stocking. *g*
4. A chance to meet up with my LJ friends next year...hopefully at a new James Marsters event! :D
5. Veronica Mars S1 (R1) on DVD.
6. A self-esteem boost, so that if number 4 happens I won't be as overcome by shyness as I was in October. :)
7. A personalised James Marsters icon (preferably with his new longer hair)
8. For my daughter to have a happy and healthy year in 2006.
9. A James Marsters wallpaper, to remind me of the wonderful time I had in London.
10. I wish peace, love and happiness for everyone everywhere...but especially for my family and friends.
This last thing isn't really a wish, but I don't mention them often enough so I'm going to do it here. Thank you to my wonderful husband and son for all the love and support they've given to me and K this year. I honestly don't know where I'd be without them.

Date: 2005-11-15 08:59 pm (UTC)I'd like it to be Christmassy if possible, with snow involved in there somewhere (it's a fic kink of mine *g*). Maybe set some time in S7, but with a Spuffy twist.
*hugs you*

I've just realised that 5 out of my 10 wishes involve JM in some way. I'm not sure what that says about me. *g*

Well at least most of them are inexpensive (if somewhat mission impossible'.)

I suck at ideas, which is why I suck at graphics. I could never come up with some of the ideas that you do! ;)

Date: 2005-11-16 02:24 pm (UTC)I think James Marsters with nothing but a Christmas stocking on a certain spot would be wonderful. *GRINS*
Hoping to do number 7 too, but me and graphics aren't the best of friends. Still, everyone should have a personalized icon! ^_^
