Day 28 - First TV show obsession
There have been a few shows I've been obsessive about over the years, where I couldn't miss a single episode, and would drop everything to make sure that I didn't. But the two that come to mind first are ER and The X-Files. I watched them both from the first episode and completely fell in love with them.
ER was must see TV in the early days, and while some of the later seasons weren't quite as good, I still continued to watch until the show finally ended last year.
And as for The X-Files, I was intrigued by Fox Mulder from the start and never missed a single episode. It was never quite the same after David Duchovny left the main cast, but I still watched it until the bitter end. The final season was a huge disappointment, but I wouldn't have missed watching the show for the world. It gave me hours and hours of entertainment, and also gave me Mulder/Scully, who are one of my favourite TV pairings ever.
But if we're talking about obsession that includes being involved in a fandom, discussing every aspect of the show to death, reading fanfic, and still talking about the show long after it's been off air, then there's only one TV show it could be, and that's Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
I don't think there will ever be another TV show like it for me. The Buffyverse was what first drew me into online fandom, and without it I would never have met all of you. It literally changed my life, and for that I will always be truly grateful.
Day 29 - Current TV show obsession
