I was excited enough when I heard that JM was going to be in an episode of Lie To Me, which I already watch and enjoy.

But the news of his latest new role has made me squee even louder! :D

Caprica exec producer Jane Espenson is using her powers as a charter member of the Whedonverse for good. Sources confirm to me exclusively that Buffy all-star James Marsters is joining the Battlestar Galactica prequel for a sizable arc.

Marsters will play a dangerous terrorist leader by the name of Barnabus Greeley in a minimum of three episodes. Driven by desires both moralistic and carnal, Barnabus is as lethal as he is unpredictable.

And no ones does lethal and unpredictable better than Marsters.

Caprica is set to make its Syfy debut on Jan. 22.

How exciting is that?!

This is absolutely wonderful news! I sorta let BSG slide after it's third year... but I'll be sure to catch Caprica for the Marsters, alone! Bless a working James.

I haven't seen all of BSG either, but I know it's an incredibly popular show. This is such good news! :)

It's incredibly exciting. I loved BSG and though I wasn't sure about Caprica, I shall be sure to watch it now.

I want confirmation from JM Live, dammit.

There's a message on JM's official site, with a link to Ausiello's announcement. It's not quite an official announcement, but I wouldn't have thought they'd have posted it if it wasn't true. :)

I haven't seen all of BSG, but I liked what I have seen.
