I was convinced the new Doctor was going to be Paterson Joseph, so Matt Smith came as a huge surprise to me. However, I've liked him in everything I've seen him in, so I think he'll do a good job. David Tennant is going to be a hard act to follow, though!

I hadn't realised I'd seen him in anything (gave up on watching Ruby in the Smoke after 10 minutes) but Chris says I saw him in the political thing (though I don't remember which one he was). *g* I'm hopeless.

He's Northampton born and bred though, so I shall give him a chance on those grounds. He looks a nice young lad.
