James lands job with UK company
May. 15th, 2008 02:09 amNew messages on JM's Official Site.
Yay! I can't tell you how happy BOTH of the new messages make me. :D
I know I've been quiet since the UK events, but RL has been keeping me busy (including keeping me away from the two London gigs). But what I have seen on the various boards has made my blood boil! I'm so glad to see certain so-called "fans" finally get what they deserve.
And that's all I'm going to say about that. :)
My admiration for James both as an actor and as a person knows no bounds. He's never been anything but open, friendly and respectful towards me and my daughter whenever we've met him in person. The recent UK events were no different. In fact, watching him interact with my daughter made me melt inside. The way he treated her with such genuine respect and kindness was wonderful and heartwarming to see - and I love him for it. *melts at the memory*
Which is more than can be said for some of the stewards at Collectormania (the JMLive ladies were as lovely and helpful as ever)...but the less said about that the better. All I will say is that Showmasters seriously need to rethink their attitude towards people with disabilities. :(
But enough of that...
I can't wait to find out what JM's new role is! We don't even know if it's for TV yet. Maybe he's been cast in a stage role?! But whatever it is, all I can say is that I'm so happy for him! :D

Date: 2008-05-15 05:56 am (UTC)I'm really hoping for a stage role - and I'm being really selfish and hoping for a London Stage role so I can go and be a fangirlie! :)

Date: 2008-05-15 07:42 am (UTC)Can't wait to find out what he is doing as well ... Hope his kids get a chance to visit him while he is in England, as it would be nice for them to see some of the country where he visits regularily.

Date: 2008-05-15 09:32 am (UTC)Squees again. I actually said to him at the Rift that I hoped he'd be cast in another British drama, because it gives me such a kick to see him on telly over here (if it is telly). I think he fits better anyway.

Date: 2008-05-15 01:54 pm (UTC)Yay for James's new job and even Yay-er for Stev. He rocks like a rocky thing. \o/
I'm bouncing on my chair right at this very minute, and have been grinning like a mad woman all day.

Date: 2008-05-15 04:31 pm (UTC)I'm glad you and K had a great time, it was nice to see you again. I saw the pic of James with K and it was a lovely one. James looked really relaxed and there was one with a family and I thought he looked really happy in that one as well. All the unpleasantness spoiled it for me a bit because I was upset for James but I hope he's having a good rest now.
The news about the job was great, I overheard him telling someone that something was coming up, but they were still talking money, I'm glad it's official now. Whoopeee.

Date: 2008-05-15 10:39 pm (UTC)Glad you had such a good time- I've only been able to see James sing in person once, last year at DragonCon. He was amazing. I'm hoping he'll do another this year.
I wonder what his new job will be? I only hope whatever he's in will be shown in the states, too.
