Celtic Blues Event

K and I had a wonderful time in Cardiff. No, the gig wasn't the best (poor James), but all in all the day was a resounding success!

I got the biggest hug from James before my photo op. It felt like it was going to last forever...it just went on and on and on!

*melts again at the memory*

The highlight of the day for K was when she had her photo taken with James and Gareth (who plays Ianto in Torchwood). She thinks Gareth is lovely. :)

James was as warm and friendly as always, and Gareth is such a nice young man. Very friendly and down to earth. I have to admit, though, that while I do think he's good looking, he tends to bring out the maternal instinct in me. Somehow, I can't really say that about James... ;)



It was so nice to meet up with friends both old and new. I just wish that I could have got to spend more time with you all!

Special hugs go to jamalov29. It's always such a pleasure to spend time with you, Caroline! I only got to talk to spikereader very briefly, which was a shame...and also only had the chance to briefly wave and say hello to spikesdeb, which was disappointing. Maybe next time we'll actually get to spend some time together. :)

And as much as I try to come out of my shell, I always seem to fail spectacularly at it. I'm not one of those people who can think of something witty or clever to say (especially when I'm talking to James), but that's just the way I am and I can't change that. I wish I could, but I can't. Thankfully, the lovely deedee7daydiary, stretfordditto and all of the other wonderful ladies from the Bloody Spikeless board took me and K under their wing and made sure that we were well looked after. Thank you so much, ladies. *many hugs to you all*



I'll write a proper report tomorrow, but needless to say, the Celtic Blues event was wonderful. Everyone was so friendly, it really was a pleasure to be there. Looking forward to the next one already! :D

Wasn't it wonderful? I'm so sorry we didn't get to talk much, but the whole thing flew, didn't you think? I was that excited at the photo ops and the Q&A was so interesting - well, usually I'm able to walk about and let things go on around me, but this time I was really focused on James and ...well, you know how it is ;) Poor guy with the concert - he was really upset; I was by the front and he was full of tears and stuff and so pissed off with himself. *sniffles* But we love him. At least he tried, bless him. I'll be there at the next one - and I'll come and chat properly. Unless James wants to whisk me away for a photo of course...*giggles*

I know exactly how it is. :D To be honest, I was still in a bit of a daze when I saw you as I'd just had my photo-op with James (K and I had ours done at the beginning of the event), so my mind was all over the place. It was a wonder I could even remember my own name! *g*

It was sooo good. It was such a shame that the gig turned out the way it did (poor, poor James), but the afternoon event more than made up for it. We had such a good time! And my photo-op experience was even more memorable than my first meeting with James in Coventry - and you know how good that one was! :D

Yep, definitely still in love with him here. :)

I'm sure we'll have lots of other opportunities to meet up again. *big hugs*

Enjoyed the report. Love reading all the different takes on the same happenings and it's amazing what you can miss in all the excitement. James was on top form throughout. I got a wonderful hug too.

It was so good! And yes, it did go by in a gorgeous blur. It was over far too soon! Being shy is such a pain. I hate it! I'd be happy to queue with you any time, though, Ditto...even if we do stand in silence. *g*

There were so many wonderful and memorable moments! The wonderful hugs we got will help to keep us warm over the long winter months. :D

We had such a good time, Kathleen! I still can't believe how long that hug lasted. And then I got another one during the photo-op...and yet another one after it was over. James has a way of making every person there feel like they're the only person in the room. It's a nice feeling. :)

It really was wonderful, Mary! Torchwood is one of my favourite TV shows, so it was lovely to get to meet Gareth. K had a wonderful time, and was quite taken with Gareth. :)
