Spike is back - only this time he has a plan...and Harmony is along for the ride:

Spike: I don't understand. This sort of thing's never happened to me before.
Willow: Maybe you were nervous.

(he attacks her again, but breaks off before drawing blood)

Spike: Ow! Oh! Ow! Damn it!
Willow: Maybe you're trying too hard. Doesn't this happen to every vampire?
Spike: Not to me, it doesn't!

What's a vamp to do? Why, ask his mortal enemy for help, of course! Who promptly ties him to a chair:



Spike: You made a bear!
Buffy: I didn't mean to.
Spike: Undo it! Undo it!

Okay, not so much with the Harm luv, but the ditz was definitely a perfect foil for Spike. :-)

And then along came Pangs,one of my favorite early Spike episodes. JM is at his comedic best.His expressions throughout that episode are priceless.

After the slayer of slayers and before the big bad is back but not for long... You should highlight his little trip to LA wherein he gets owned by angel... But there's some VERY amusing quotes at the begining of that episode. I did a little research and it's season 1, episode 3 of angel...

The only reason I mention it is because it's seriously some of my favorite Spike lines EVER. <33

I know the episode well - In the Dark in AtS S1. I'm only including BtVS eps in this series, but I'm thinking of doing an AtS one at a later date. :)

SPIKE: (imitating Rachel) How can I thank you, you mysterious, black-clad hunk of a night thing? (imitating Angel) No need, little lady, your tears of gratitude are enough for me. You see, I was once a badass vampire, but love and a pesky curse defanged me. Now I'm just a big, fluffy puppy with bad teeth.

(Rachel steps closer to Angel, and Angel steps back, warding her off with his hands)

SPIKE: No, not the hair! Never the hair! (high voice) But there must be someway I can show my appreciation. (low voice) No, helping those in need's my job, and working up a load of sexual tension, and prancing away like a magnificent poof is truly thanks enough! (high voice) I understand. I have a nephew who is gay, so... (low voice) Say no more. Evil's still afoot! And I'm almost out of that Nancy-boy hair gel I like so much. Quickly, to the Angel-mobile, away!

SPIKE: Go on with you. Play the big, strapping hero while you can. You have a few surprises coming your way. The ring of Amara, a visit from your old pal Spike, and, oh yeah, your gruesome, horrible death.

I agree, they are some of the best Spike lines ever! :D

Awww... I adore HLOD - this is the episode in which I noticed that Spike's eyes are blue. And that Buffy loved putting Spike's hand on her breast! :)
