Still more or less on hiatus, but wanted to show off my gorgeous new LJ banner and icons made by the lovely kazzy_cee. Thank you, Karen. I love it! *hugs*

It looks like everyone who managed to get to Cardiff had a wonderful time. The actor who plays Ianto in Torchwood joined James on stage for a song, and a few of the cast were in the audience. I'm still gutted that I couldn't be there (although I don't regret the decision not to go - it was definitely the right thing to do!), but I'm having a great time reading all about it from those who were. My only consolation is that it wasn't John Barrowman who joined James on stage. I really would have been miffed if I'd missed that. The stuff fantasies dreams are made of! ;)

It sounds like the cardiff concert was very hot and not very good sound which was a shame - but there are a few clips on YouTube already!

Yes, I heard that the sound wasn't all it could be. And being so hot probably wouldn't have suited K right now - although I don't think I would have minded seeing a hot and sweaty James! *g*

I heard just a few bits about the concert at the Point but what I heard was lovely.*wink*
James seemed to be ( like I thought ) relaxed , content and overall delighted to delight the brave fans who came despite the rain. Knowing it went well is good enough for me .
I'm waiting for the confirmation that he said he would be back in the UK at the end of October.
James is fond of his Europeans fans. ;-)

I've read mainly positive reviews of the concert. James was happy and seems to be enjoying his time in Torchwood, so that's more than good enough for me. Still wish I could have been there, but enjoying all the lovely pics that are being posted!

How wonderful would it be if he came back in October? It would definitely make up for having missed him this time! We can but hope and dream. :)

Oh, pretty! Missed you in Cardiff, hun. It was great; managed to get there eventually and found a spot right in front of the stage, centre, about three rows back. And wouldn't you know it, the one time I could have got great pics, I didn't take my camera. Bugger. Didn't see any of the cast members in the audience. Who was there? Who? Who? *giggles* Was great to see Ianto (who I kept calling Owen in my head for some reason) and he's got a great voice :) Had a ball, all in all, but it would have been better I've you'd made it. I kept glancing at the door to see if you'd managed it at the last minute :(

I'm so glad you managed to get there okay! I kept thinking about you yesterday. I knew how much you wanted to be there, especially after missing Spring Fever. So glad you had a fantastic time! :D

I know Gwen, Tosh and Ianto were there and possibly one or two others. JB was in London filming a TV show.

I wish I could have made it, but it wasn't worth taking the risk with K. But I'll definitely be there next time...even if I have to swim there! *g*

I just noticed someone wishing you happy birthday (sorry - I never know when anyone's birthday is unless I see the birthday wishes on other people's LJs). I know how rough things are going for you, K, and your family right now. Trying to imagine myself in your place, my birthday probably would trigger way too much introspection and depression. I hope you weren't like me in that respect, and that you found some happiness in celebrating your birthday among family and friends.
