I don't know if this is common knowledge or not (I haven't been on LJ), but episode four of Jim Butcher's podcast The Butcher Block includes James reading Chapter 3 of Summer Knight. It's wonderful! I can't wait to hear the whole thing. :D

I got the link from CDS (or FuzzyShark as they are are the moment) and listened to it this morning. As you say, wonderful (though my favourite chapter is still 13 with Toot Toot and the fairies). A great story read by a fabulous actor - can't do better than that.

Have you preordered? I have - I just hope that getting a tote bag (which I don't want) doesn't mean I have to pay customs charges this time.

Oh - and if you're likely to want to listen to it again *g* I can let you have an mp3 of just James and Ch 3 without any of the other stuff. I had nothing to do this afternoon. :D

I haven't ordered it yet, but I'm planning to very soon. :D I agree with you about Chapter 13. Have you read any of the books? They're all wonderful.

I've read them all, and am eagerly awaiting the next in the series. I very rarely get books in hardback as I prefer reading paperbacks, but for the Dresden books I make an exception. I think the stories just get better and better, particularly from Summer Knight onwards - Jim seems really to get into his stride and we know the major characters well by now. (See, another thing we can talk about in May *g*)

I love all of the books, and have to admit to having a bit of a crush on Harry! *g* I'm impatiently awaiting the next one. ;)

Yay! Something else to talk about. :D
