I think I remember this. Was he the one in Texas, and wasn't he still in school? Pretty sad, actually, because if he wasn't, then I'm remembering another case of the same awful thing...

Laramie. He was in Laramie, Wyoming. I think he was a student, now that you mention it...

I think I saw every movie they made about him. The Laramie Project was the best one, I thought. There was also one made for TV where Sam Waterston played his father.

That tragedy won't ever be forgotten.

The school where I work (Las Vegas Academy) put on a wonderful production of The Laramie Project last year. This play really touched the hearts of our students and they did a great job. Unfortunately we had protestors here from somewhere in the midwest (don't remember where and wouldn't give them the advertisement if I did) that actually picketed the school.

Whether we remember their names or not, the events and situations will not be forgotten.
