I'm aware that I owe comments on my last couple of posts. I promise to get around to doing them soon! Time is going to be very limited over the next couple of weeks (K breaks up from school today), but I'll do my best to reply as soon as I can. :)
Happy Holidays to you all!

Happy Holidays to you all!
I've just received the most wonderful gift from the lovely
authoressnebula. Not only did she make me some fabulous icons (including the one I'm using on this post), but she also made the beautiful friendship banner that I've put under the cut. Thank you so much, Neb! I'm not sure I deserve them, but your words moved me more than I can say. Everyone should have a friend like you.
( Gift from Nebula )
*hugs you tight*

New layout for Christmas!
Dec. 3rd, 2006 04:05 pmI've changed my LJ layout to something a bit more festive for the Holiday Season! :D
My banner and icon were made by the talented
truly_tazi. I saved them last year when she posted them on the
darker_spike community, but never got around to using them. So thank you,
truly_tazi! He's They're so pretty! I love them. *g*
I've also played around with my LJ colours a little bit, and added some pretty Christmas red to make it look more festive. My random icons at the side have also all been changed to Holiday/Winter ones, and were all made by the wonderful
kazzy_cee. :)
I'm very happy with the result and am now feeling much more festive! :D
My throat infection has also finally cleared up, so I'm hoping to be around a bit more. Yay!
*hugs flist*

A belated thank you post
Jan. 16th, 2006 02:36 pmRemember when I posted the links to several fics that had been written as Christmas gifts for me? Well, somehow I missed one! The lovely
_a_s_h_l_e_e_ posted my story in December, but I didn't see it. I'm so sorry, Ashlee! I've been reading and enjoying all of the Christmas fics she's written for her flist, but somehow managed to miss my own. Doh!
This story is the perfect gift for me. It's Spuffy, has time-travel, and is set Post-NFA/BtVS S5. What's not to like? :D
Broken Promises, Mended Dreams
Thank you so much, Ashlee. I love it!

A Spuffy Christmas
Dec. 22nd, 2005 01:50 pmI've been lucky enough to have several Christmas stories written for me over the last few days. Such beautiful stories! My Spuffy heart is now very happy. *sigh*
As I'm feeling in a generous mood, I thought I'd share them with you. ;)

Christmas Wish List
Nov. 15th, 2005 07:13 pmI can't believe it's almost that time of year again! I wasn't sure whether to do this again this year, but then I thought...why not? :)
Step One
Make a post (public, friends locked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
