"Father's Day" has overtaken "Dalek" as my favourite episode of the season so far.

I don't think there was anything about this episode that I didn't like. The acting was superb - especially by Billie Piper and the actor who played her Dad (I can't remember his name, but I know he used to be in "Soldier Soldier" a few years ago).

I loved all of the Doctor/Rose interaction. The hand holding, the cupped cheek and then the big hug. Wonderful! I am such a shipper. :D I wish CE was staying in the role for longer (he's so good!), but I'll be interested in seeing how the new Doctor and Rose interact in the next series.

I find time travel stories like "Father's Day" fascinating to watch. This is an episode I'll definitely be watching again. It had me in tears before the end. So moving. Poor Rose having to watch her Dad die. And the Doctor got eaten! My heart was in my mouth by that point. Of course, I knew he'd be coming back, but still!

I enjoyed all of the 80's references. Very nostalgic for me. I'm sure I had a hairstyle very similar to Jackie's once. Memories. :D

Rose finding out that her parents marriage was far from perfect. I thought that this was written very well. An eye-opening experience for Rose. The Doctor should never have allowed Rose to go back to the day her Dad died. I mean, how could you go back in time and just stand there while your Dad got hit by a car? I know I couldn't. But in the end, she had to watch him die anyway. *sigh*

At least he didn't die alone in the end. *sniff*

Loved the moment when the Doctor walked into the Tardis and it was just a Police Box! Hee! And "The Reapers"! How scary were they? If I'd been a child, I'd have been hiding behind my sofa for sure! ;)

Did anyone else catch the "Bad Wolf" reference on one of the posters?

Little Mickey was so cute! I can't believe that I didn't realise it was him right away. It is so over with him and Rose, though. :D

Loved the trailer for next week. World War Two is another big interest of mine. So time travel plus WW2 equals happiness for me. :D

It looks like Rose is going to be getting a new love interest next week. Good looking guy, but he's not the Doctor. *g*

Is it next Saturday yet? :)

O yay, the Doctor lives! I thought they'd finally killed th' beast a few years ago... I am glad to see there are more of them coming. I love Doctor Who. I collect Doctor Who eps and movies and novels. And magazines. And stuff. :)

So, who's CE? Which Doctor [pardon the pun] is this??

Hmmmmmm, I think I need to see some Peter Davison now... O favorite Doc-o'-mine.

*trots off to look for Doctor Who avatars*

CE is Christopher Eccleston, a very popular, well known actor over here. He's only playing the Doctor for one season and then David Tennant is taking over. I grew up watching Doctor Who and am enjoying the new series immensely. It's nice to have a new show to look forward to. We're up to episode 8 of a 13 episode run. :)

Tom Baker was a favourite of mine, but I loved Peter Davison, too. I've loved PD since he played Tristan Farnon in "All Creatures Great And Small".

Oh yeah, I remember trying to keep track of him in Sink or Swim [?], All Creatures, and Holding the Fort at the same time. *g* He must have been a tired bunny doing that lot! I was crazy about Holding the Fort, too. That was the one where his wife was in the military, I think.

I go for Tom Baker too, but I think the reason I gravitated to PD, other than general cuteness *g* was that I had just started watching Doctor Who with the Four to Doomsday-Castrovalva story arc. He was just getting used to being the Doctor, and I was just getting into the way of how the Doctor worked. :)
