I promised myself I was going to make a post on LJ every day during the month of December, but I can't think of a thing to post about.

I suppose I could talk about some of the unfair digs 'jokes' I've been seeing here and there on LJ aimed at a certain character's actions in a recent comic book, but I'm not going to do that... :P

You're being very forebearing. I admire that.

Comics? Nope, means nothing to me. :D

I guess, I can't even blame the jokers. The comic put that one on a platter and to me it looks like they did so intentionally. The whole thing is a bad joke at the expense of everyone who pays money for them.

I'm afraid I can. Those of us who dislike the comics are constantly being branded as 'disrespectful' and not Buffy-centric enough (even though Buffy happens to be one of my favourite characters of all time), but it seems to be okay for snarky remarks (disguised as 'jokes') to be aimed at characters they don't care so much about. They can't have it both ways. :/

The whole thing is a bad joke at the expense of everyone who pays money for them.

Now that I can agree with.

Heh. I always say that if I can't say anything nice, it's probably best to say nothing at all. *g*

That's where I'm at. The jokes write themselves. I can't blame the jokers for noticing the glaringly obvious.

Oh, I do agree that the jokes write themselves. It's just the double standards that annoy me.

Yeah, but consider the source. I mean, the ones doing most of the jokes are watching their OTP go down in canon flames. So they lash out at the truly heroic character who's in a position to still have a relationship with Buffy (whether that's friendship or something more). All they have left is a big case of BITTER.
