This is a book that will stay with me for a long time. It tells the story of Dana, a young black woman in 1976 Los Angeles, who suddenly and inexplicably finds herself transported to the Deep South in the early 19th century. Powerful and thought-provoking.
It's too bad Ms. Butler died suddenly - last year I believe. She was a great writer.
