The album launch in Coventry
Apr. 26th, 2005 01:49 amI got back from Coventry a couple of hours ago.
Tonight was absolutely amazing! I had the best time of my life. James was in fine form and his voice sounded even better than I thought it would. He looked very happy and relaxed. I met some wonderful people, but best of all I met James himself.
Not only did I meet him, but I got a hug, a kiss AND he held my hand. We were all led out row by row, and James was waiting for us at the end of the bar. I was so nervous! I'm extremely shy, and I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to think of anything to say to him. But when it came to my turn my fears just melted away. He has such a warmth about him, that you can't help but feel relaxed. We looked at each other, said hi and then he kissed me on the lips. It all happened so quickly that I didn't even have time to think about the fact that James Marsters had just kissed me! Then he hugged me. I can't even begin to describe how it felt to have his arms around me. All I can say is that it was one of the best hugs I've ever had. So warm. *sigh* I told him that it was lovely to meet him and that I lovedhim his work. He told me it was lovely to meet me, too. All of this was while he was still hugging me.
I told him that the show was amazing. He said "That's so good to hear. Seriously, if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be able to do this." He said more, but I'm having trouble remembering exactly what he said. I was just so aware of the fact that he was holding my hand, and that I was looking into his eyes. I had my other hand on his back. I could feel the soft leather of his jacket. As I turned to leave, he was still holding my hand. Then he gave it a squeeze, and let go as I walked away. His hand was so warm and soft, I can still feel it now.
It was an amazing experience and one I will never forget. James really does make you feel like you're the only woman in the world. :)
spikesdeb, it was so good to meet you and Lou. I felt like I'd known you both forever. We'll have to do this again some time! *g*
