Blood Brothers

It was my husband's 40th birthday on Thursday, so this weekend we celebrated in style by going to see Blood Brothers at the Birmingham Hippodrome.
Wow, what a show! I knew very little about it before going to see it, but I was blown away by it. The acting, the singing, the emotion of it was just outstanding! I've seen lots of shows (both in the West End and here in Birmingham), but Blood Brothers is right up there with the best of them...if not the best. I can't recommend it highly enough! It finished its run in Birmingham last night, but do go and see it if you ever get the chance. You won't regret it! It's funny, sad, heartwarming and in the end heartbreaking, but you don't feel weighed down by misery like you can with some shows. Blood Brothers had us laughing most of the way through, while leaving us heartbroken at the end. The actor who played Mickey was amazing! He could have you laughing one minute and then crying the next. Definitely a performance to remember!
I want to experience it all over again. *sigh*
