I hate the penalties!

even though I have to admit that I live in constant fear of the English fans since the riots in my home town after the last match, and the stupid people who said dumb thinks to me on the street.
I know not all the English fans are like this, but damn, there are some sick people out there. (btw, I also know that German fans provoked the riots in Stuttgart... and I apologize for these stupid people, too)

Half an hour into the match Kat predicted a 0-0 score after extra time, and that England would lose on penalties, because (a) it is traditional, and (b) the Potruguese goalkeeper is very good.

She sat and watched her prediction being fulfilled in a fairly calm way - the only thing that worried her was when poor Hugo Viana got an accidental elbow in the eye, and then when he missed his penalty. Bet you can guess whose name is on the back of her older Newcastle United shirt...

There always seems to be a minority of "fans" who are only out to cause trouble. It gets me so mad! I'm sorry you had to put up with that. :(

England are so frustrating! Once Rooney was sent off, I didn't even think we'd get as far as penalties. And once it *did* get to penalties, I knew it would be the same old story all over again. *sigh*
