Spike Movie!

spikeylover has posted news about a possible Spike movie here.

So it looks like a Spike movie is becoming a *real* possibility. I have to admit to having mixed feelings about it. As everyone on my flist knows, I love Spike with a passion and would like nothing more than to see him on my TV screen again. I'm all SQUEE!!! just thinking about it. I've been squeeing all over my flist since I saw spikeylover's post. But (and it's a big but) I only want it to happen if it's done well. I don't want a Spike movie at any cost. *sigh*

But OMG...to see Spike on my TV screen again! How amazing would that be? :D

Please get it right, Joss. *keeping fingers, toes and everything crossed*

I posted about this at ACN a little bit ago and echoed the same thing you did. I just don't want the character ruined.

It would be cool to see him again, though.

My feelings are all over the place about this. I want to see Spike again, but I also want to keep the Spuffy ship alive (I can't help myself). I'm worried the movie will kill it forever. :(

If they were to do a movie they'd give him a romantic interest, and SMG wouldn't do a Spike movie, so... why? (this is the Buffy/Spike lover in me talking... she talks A LOT).

I'd love a Spike movie, but not at the expense of ruining the characters.

I have mixed feelings about it too, mainly because I'm still a shipper first and foremost. So if the movie happens and there's no reunion with Buffy or Spike has moved on from her I'm going to be extremely disappointed. But there's also a part of me that wants it to happen because I'd love to see something new from Joss on the tv again.

*sighs* It's times like these when I think it would be so much easier to just be a casual fan and not worry about all this stuff.

I feel the same way you do. My love for Spuffy is always going to be there, and I'm scared the movie will kill it completely. But I'd love to see Spike on my TV screen again! *sigh*

It's not easy being a Spike and a Spuffy fan.
