Spuffy fic rec

I've just read the first chapter of an excellent new fic by gabrielleabelle. She's new to my flist, but is someone I'd like to get to know better. Her meta posts are fascinating, but this is the first time I've read any fanfic by her. It definitely won't be the last!

Title: Influence of Demons
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Spuffy
Summary: Goes AU after S5's Checkpoint. Five years ago, Buffy and Spike fell into a portal to a dimension ruled by demons. Finally, reunited, their goal is to get back home. However, the years in this dimension have changed them. Spike's long isolation keeps him distant, and Buffy's enforced life at a brothel has caused her to forget the Slayer she used to be. Somehow, they'll have to find themselves again to defeat a powerful enemy and make it home.

Only one chapter posted so far, but I'm completely hooked already. Such an intriguing start! I'll definitely be following this one.

Oh! That's...my fic! I'm appreciatively humbled for the rec.

I plan to post the second chapter sometime this next week. That one's from Buffy's POV, and I want to get that out there to help establish her character for the fic. Chapter 3 is in the works.
