I was very disappointed in the Green Wing finale. That's about all I've got to say about that. *sigh*
So Mickey stayed behind in the parallel world. Hmm. I'm not quite sure what I think about that. I liked his character development and how he really did go from "zero to hero" during his time on the show. But what I can't really understand is why he would want to stay in the parallel world; especially as there is no way for him to get back. Oh well.
ETA: I completely understand Mickey's reasons for staying in the parallel world. What I don't understand is why anyone would want to stay in an alien world, without any hope of returning home if they wanted to. I know it's something I could never do. But then again I'm no hero. ;)
I liked the episode over all. Didn't love it, but liked it well enough. I love Pete Tyler and would definitely like to see him again some time. I found Mickey's departure moving, but Rose's reconciliation with Jackie even more so.
Not got a lot to say about the Cybermen. I have to admit I actually laughed out loud when they wheeled Lumic in as a Cyberman. I don't quite know why I found it so funny, but I did. The Cybermen had their scary moments...and I was moved by the scene with the Cyber!Bride.
I'm still loving DT's portrayal of The Doctor. He's been very good at making the character his own, but I can still see some of Nine in him. I noticed it more than ever last night.
As for Rose...I like her. I haven't always liked how she's treated Mickey or how she still hasn't learned not to wander off, but that's all part of who she is. She's not perfect by a long shot, but it's quite obvious that she cares about both Mickey and The Doctor. I wouldn't be averse to some Doctor/Rose shippiness, but I can live without it if it doesn't happen. The UST is there, though...there's no denying that.
Next weeks episode looks interesting. I'm wondering if they're going to add anyone else to the mix like they did in S1 with Captain Jack. I like Rose and The Doctor on their own, but I think they work better with someone else to interact with.
I guess I'm still missing my one and only OT3. As much as I'm enjoying this series, I still miss Jack. They were so good together! *sigh*
