What a wonderful episode! There were so many things I loved about it that I couldn't possibly write them all down - but I'll try to write down as many as I can.

My reactions to the episode in no particular order:

* I knew what was coming with Franklin (I was accidentally spoiled for it), but was still sorry to see him go. Having said that, even though I think he was a great (but insane) character, I think they'd taken him as far as they possibly could in light of how traumatised Tara is by what he did to her. I was glad she got to fight back a little before Jason gave him what was coming to him. But I am going to miss him.

* I loved every scene with Pam and Eric. Alexander Skarsgard plays Eric to perfection, and I adore the relationship between the two vampires. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that it's my favourite relationship on the show.

* Russell's grief for Talbot was palpable. Loved the cut glass urn that he kept his bloody remains in. Russell is an amazing character! He may be a villain, but I love him!

* Not got a lot to say about Bill and Sookie in this episode. I can't say that the shower scene did much for me, and I'm not sure what to make of Bill's appearance in the dream-like land. I didn't dislike it, but I'm still working it out in my head.

* Jesus and Lafayette are still cute - but I have a feeling that all is not as it seems with Jesus.

* I'm still liking Lafayette's mother. I think she's a much more interesting character than Tara's mother, who I actually find quite irritating at times.

* Liked the scene between Sam and Tara, which highlighted his caring side.

* Jason and Crystal. I'm not sure I see what Jason likes about Crystal, but the storyline is starting to come together a bit more now - and is also involving other members of the cast. Poor Kevin!

* Loved every scene with Eric, Pam, Nan and the Authority. And I liked the fact that Eric told the truth about his thirst for revenge.

* Tommy's definitely a handful for Sam! I'm not liking him much at the moment, but then again I don't think we're meant to. But at least mom and dad are gone for the moment.

* I love Andy Bellefleur! We haven't seen enough of him this season. 'What do you want, a hug?' 'Ulcer's so big, I got coffee coming out of my belly button.' Hee!

* Holly is an intriguing character so far, but is she too good to be true? She had some great scenes with both Tara and Arlene in this episode. The actress is taking some getting used to, though, as she's very strange looking.

* Newspaper clipping: Fire Hero Earl Stackhouse blames 'Sixth Sense'. Hmm...

* So Hadley has a son. Did we know that before? And he has the same powers as Sookie.

* Poor Arlene and poor Terry. I can't say I blame her for not wanting Rene's baby, but I feel so sad for both of them.

* Jessica and Hoyt break my heart. And yay for Hoyt not liking Summer! Neither do I, Hoyt, neither do I. :D

* I've said it once, but I'll say it again: Russell is a fabulous character, and he owns every single scene he's in. Denis O'Hare is doing a wonderful job!

* So Eric is allowed to have his revenge. 'Bring me his fangs. Or I will have yours.' Eep. Somehow, I don't think that's going to be an easy fight to win!

* Loved the scene between Eric and Pam, where he told her that if he doesn't make it she must go out and make a vampire of her own. They may never admit it, but the love between them is very real.

* OMG! We've never seen Sam like this before! This is a darker side to his character that I hope we get to see more of as the series progresses. His storyline just got more interesting again.

* And then there was Franklin. He seemed creepier than ever in this scene, and I have to say that as much as I liked him, I'd much rather see him go than to have Tara brutally murdered. But still...I'm going to miss that crazy vampire!

* Jason may be dumb, but I like him. And I can't see anything bad in what he did to Franklin. He really did have it coming to him!

* Is it me, or were there a lot of boobs in this episode?

* Russell Edgington. OMG, OMG, OMG!

* He's only telling the truth, though. 'Why would we want equal rights? We are not equal!'

* 'Now for the weather. Tiffany?' Bwah!

* Brilliant, brilliant final scene!

That was one excellent episode. I love this show far more than is good for me! :)
